Matt Madden

Matt Madden ( born 1968 in New York City ) is an American comic book artist. His experimental comic 99 Ways to Tell a Story: Exercises in Style Raymond Queneau's Exercises in Style is based on. Madden teaches illustration at the School of Visual Arts at Yale.

Biography

Madden first published mini comics in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was co-editor of the anthology 5 O'Clock Shadow. After some of his shorter works have been published in anthologies, followed Madden's first band, Black Candy, 1998 at Black Eye Books. In the nineties, Madden wrote for The Comics Journal and other publications. His graphic novel Odds Off published by Highwater Books. In the late nineties he lived in Mexico, a theme that also appears in his works. Today he lives with his wife, the cartoonist Jessica Abel in Brooklyn, New York.
