Matt Savage

Matthew " Matt" Savage (born 12 May 1992, Sudbury, Massachusetts) is an American musician, and autistic savant.

Life

Matt Savage grew up with his parents Diane and Lawrence " Larry " Savage. Its development had already begun very early. He began early to run, and began to learn to read at the age of just 18 months. With three years was diagnosed with autism at him. As a toddler, Matt could bear no noise or music and up to the age of four was not even allowed to touch his mother him.

At the age of six years he taught in a short time to play the piano. For almost a year he dealt with classical music before he discovered jazz, to which he then put his focus. In the fall of 1999 he began at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts to study. He was also continued with classical music. He and his younger sister Rebecca were both taught at home. At Matt's talents also include Hyperlexie and perfect pitch. These skills, combined with an extremely high intelligence, have enabled him to stand out and also a Regional Geography Competition, the Statewide geography bee to win.

Despite his youth, and even without formal instruction in musical compositions Matt has managed to become an outstanding musician and composer. He has released several albums with the Matt Savage Trio and as a soloist. At the age of 14 years, he has also performed with Chaka Khan and other famous singers. Matt's compositions emphasize technology, but are still accessible and often humorous to the listener.

Matt received several awards, including the piano manufacturer Bösendorfer. He is the only child to whom they succeeded in the 175 - year history.

Matt has played internationally before heads of state and appeared in several television shows and radio programs such as Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Today Show, and All Things Considered. At the age of 14, he was compared to a CNN report about the human brain, in which he was described as " outstanding Savant ", with other Savants. Matt also appeared in several documentaries about savants.
