Matteo Gianello ( born May 7, 1976 in Bovolone, Verona Province) is an Italian football goalkeeper who is currently without a club.

Career

Matteo Gianello learned to play football in the youth of AC Chievo Verona as a goalkeeper. In the season 1994/95 he was awarded to Sampdoria in Serie A, where he graduated, however, not a single League game. In the following season, he returned to Chievo back and played four games in Serie B. In the season 1996/97 he was in 35 games in goal for the Gentlemen of Verona and conceded 50 goals. Gianello belonged to three more years on the squad Chievo Verona and still completed 30 games in which he had to put up 44 goals. In 2000, the goalkeeper moved to Siena, where he graduated from the first season as a regular player and helped the League receipt in the B series. The subsequent season, he was in most of the games in action, but received less inserts than last year. For the complete 2002/ 03 he was awarded with Hellas Verona. While Siena for the first time in the club's history achieved the promotion to Serie A, Gianello returned after only one use at Hellas Verona disappointed back to Siena. Since the AC Siena no longer considered him in the squad, he was awarded in January 2004 for six months for ASD Lodigiani in the C series.

There the keeper found his form and played 15 games with the team. In the summer of 2004, he transferred to Napoli, who signed him from AC Siena. In Napoli he had a difficult start, but still in the first season he manages to play themselves into the team and received 17 applications. After he had reached Naples, the play-off games, and failed just short of U.S. Avellino, managed the Southern Italians in the 2005/06 season promotion to the Serie B. Gianello denied now significantly less games because with Gennaro Iezzo a new goalkeeper had moved to Naples, who had ousted him from the gate. In the season 2007/ 08 Matteo Gianello was again significantly more bets because his competitor Iezzo weakened. Since the 2009/10 season Gianello is only the third goalkeeper in Naples. The new addition to Morgan De Sanctis and Gennaro Iezzo prevent him from further operations. In December 2012, he has been locked due to its stake in the Italian betting scandal of the season 2011/12 for 3 years and 3 months.
