Matteo Grassotto

Matteo Grassotto ( born March 14, 1980 in Asolo ) is an Italian racing driver.

Career

Like most racers began Grassotto his career in karting, where he was active from 1992 to 1998. He also made 1998 his first experience in Formula racing and immediately became vice-champion of Italian Formula Renault Campus. In 1999, he won the championship of the Italian F3 Federale. In 2000 he moved to the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup and finished with two wins junior behind Felipe Massa and Charles Zwolsman third in the championship. He also took part in four races in the Italian Formula Renault.

In 2001 he moved to the German Formula 3 Championship and finished with two podium finishes in eleventh place overall. 2002 Grassotto competed in the Euro 3000 and was charged with two podium finishes seventh. 2003 was the Italians in this series and improved with four podium finishes in fourth place overall.

After Grassotto 2004 had initially found no cockpit, he played the last two races of the season in Formula 3000 for the betreuteten of Durango team AEZ Racing.
