Matthew Aid

Matthew M. Aid ( * 1958 in New York City, New York) is an American military historian and author.

Aid included a study of International Relations at Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin with a bachelor's degree from. In 2001 he was co-editor of Secrets of Signals Intelligence During the Cold War and Beyond. 2007 Aid was managing director of the Washington office of Citigate Global Intelligence and Security.

Aid lives in Washington, D.C. and examines above all with the Signals Intelligence and the history of the National Security Agency.

2006 was made public that he had been indicted in 1985 during his military service in the Air Force in the UK for breach of the confidentiality provisions and imprisoned for over a year; he explained that he was a workaholic and took work home. The late publication of his conviction was an attempt to discredit him and his revelations about the cooperation between the Air Force and CIA.
