Matthew Costello

Matthew J. Costello ( born 1948 ) is an American author and coauthor of numerous novels and nonfiction writings. Article by him were published in the Los Angeles Times and Sports Illustrated.

For some computer games he wrote the background story, as well as for the success of Doom 3 game from id Software, its ideas to he processed in his novel later Doom 3: Worlds on Fire, which is the first part of a trilogy.

His 1989 published novel Beneath Still Waters was filmed by Brian Yuzna 2005.

Together with F. Paul Wilson, he wrote the television series FTL Newsfeed, a fictional news broadcast from the year 2142, which was sent 30 seconds spot from 1992 to 1996 daily on SciFi Channel.
