Matthew Yeats

Matthew Yeats ( born April 6, 1979 in Montreal, Quebec ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who is last at HK Jesenice under contract.

Career

Matthew Yeats began his career in 1995 in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League and signed after four years with the team from the University of Maine in the National Collegiate Athletic Association at the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies his first professional contract. Although he was drafted during the NHL Entry Draft in 1998 by the Los Angeles Kings, he stood for the Washington Capitals on NHL ice, but could not convince in five appearances. In the following years he moved between several teams in the North American minor leagues before he made ​​the jump to Europe for the 2007 /08 season.

With Sparta Sarpsborg he reached the quarter-finals of the Norwegian league, but it lost to the IK Comet.
