Matthias Brehme

Matthias Brehme ( born February 7, 1943 in Markham ) is a former German gymnast. He won for the German Democratic Republic ( East Germany) starting in the 1960s and 1970s, a total of five medals at the Summer Olympic Games, World Championships and European Championships and ten national individual title at East Championships.

Sporting successes

Matthias Brehme began gymnastics in his native city at the SSG Markham -West, from which he for SC locomotive Leipzig and Leipzig 1963 SC DHfK moved by his performance in 1957, which remained his home club for his future career.
