Matthias Freihof

Matthias Freihofstraße ( born November 25, 1961 in Plauen ) is a German actor.

Life

He studied at the drama school Ernst Busch in Berlin and made ​​her debut at Berlin's Maxim Gorki Theater. With the lead role in coming out, the first East German film with gay content, him in 1989 made ​​a breakthrough. 1996/1997, he was seen as a teacher Boris Magnus in the German soap opera Marienhof. From 1998 to 2003 he played the role of an assistant chief inspector of Lorenz Wigand Siska in the same ZDF detective series. Freihofstraße has been active as a singer. One of his songs is titled Tastes your life after chamomile tea (1989).

At times he lectured at drama school Ernst Busch and the Berlin School of Acting.

In the movie Valkyrie - The Stauffenberg assassination, which reconstructs the assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler on 20 July 1944 and in the Tom Cruise took the part of Stauffenberg, Freihofstraße embodied the Reichsführer- SS, Heinrich Himmler. His two short scenes, however, were cut out, so he was not seen in the final theatrical version.
