Matthias Mayer

Matthias Mayer ( born June 9, 1990 in Sankt Veit an der Glan, Carinthia ) is an Austrian alpine skier and Olympic champion in the downhill at the Winter Olympics 2014., The son of Olympic medalist Helmut Mayer goes for the SC Gerlitze and is in the national team since 2012 of the Austrian Ski Federation ( Austrians ).

Biography

After some successes in national student race Mayer played his first FIS race in December 2005. After his admission to the Austrian Ski Federation junior squad in the 2006/07 season he was from January 2008 in the European Cup in use.
