Matt Horn from Simelihorn

The Matt Horn ( 3'246 m above sea level. M. ) is a mountain of white Mies group in the Valais Alps. To the west about a kilometer away is the Simelihorn ( 3'124 m above sea level. M., 638 875 / 11654446.1992387.94226 ), which is connected to the Matt Horn by a ridge and not very independent. In the map of Switzerland that Matt Horn was called Simelihorn and Simelihorn as Galen horn to 1987. The peaks are located east above the Saas Valley, Eisten is just four kilometers from the Simelihorn.

Matt Horn and Simelihorn are not glaciated. They are together with the eastern section of Böshorn ( 3,268 m above sea level. M. ), the northernmost of the three-thousand white Mies group. From the Böshorn Matt Horn is separated by the uppermost part of Nanztales. They are compared to the prominent peaks of the group very rarely climbed. On Matt Horn and perform various Simelihorn not a difficult routes that are pathless but to a large extent. This view comprises mainly the Mischabelgruppe, the Bernese Alps and the Fletschhorn.
