Matucana (Peru)

Matucana is the capital of the province Huarochirí in the Lima region on the western slopes of the Andean Cordillera of Peru.

Matucana lies at an altitude of 2,589 m above sea level at the Rio Rimac, which flows at Callao in the Pacific Ocean. Matucana lies in every 75 kilometers from the city of Lima in a southwesterly direction and the railway junction of La Oroya in the central Andes in the northwest.
