Maurice Harkless

Maurice ' Moe ' José Harkless ( born May 11, 1993 New York City, New York ) is an American professional basketball player who is currently with the Orlando Magic in the NBA under contract.

College

Harkless played one year for the St. John's University in his native New York. For the 'Red Storm' he scored in his first and only year of 15.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. Due to this performance, he was named Big East Conference Men's Rookie of the Year.

NBA

When NBA Draft 2012 Harkless was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in 15th place. On August 10, 2012, he was transferred together with Nikola Vucevic in a four - team swap to the Orlando Magic. In return alternated among other Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers, Andre Iguodala to the Denver Nuggets and Andrew Bynum to the Sixers. In his first year for the Magic Harkless scored 8.2 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
