Maurizio Gasparri
Maurizio Gasparri ( born July 18, 1956 in Rome ) is an Italian journalist and politician ( Movimento Sociale Italiano, the National Alliance and Popolo della Libertà ) and was from 2001 ] ] to 2005, Minister of Communications under Silvio Berlusconi.
Life
After studying Gasparri worked as a journalist for the Dissenso and all'orizzonte. Then he became chief editor of the secolo d' Italia, the newspaper of the Movimento Sociale Italiano.
From 1992-1994 Gasparri was a member of the Italian Parliament for the Movimento Sociale Italiano. In the cabinet Berlusconi Gasparri I was Secretary of State under Interior Minister Roberto Maroni. Between 1995-2009 Gasparri was a member of the National Alliance.
From 2001 to 2005, Gasparri Minister of Communications in the Cabinet Berlusconi II is known named after him legge Gasparri, a law limiting media concentration in Italy. Critics accuse Berlusconi that this law was tailored to the interests of Berlusconi's Mediaset.
Gasparri lives with his wife and daughter in Rome.
