Mauro Gianetti

Mauro Gianetti ( born March 16, 1964 in Lugano ) is a Swiss former professional cyclist.

Career

Mauro Gianetti began his professional career in 1985. He was a specialist in one-day races and won the 1995 Milano-Torino and 1996 World Cup race Amstel Gold Race and Liege -Bastogne- Liege. One of his biggest successes was a second place in the streets - Cycling Championships in 1996 in Lugano behind Johan Museeuw. After his resignation, he was manager of the 2004 Team Pro Tour team Saunier Duval- Prodir.
