Maurycy Klemens Zamoyski

Count Klemens Zamoyski Maurycy ( born July 30, 1871 in Warsaw, † May 5, 1939 in Klemensów ) was a Polish politician, diplomat and Foreign Minister Władysław Grabski in the government.

Life

Maurycy Zamoyski was born into an old Polish noble family and was one of the largest landowners of the Second Republic of Poland. 1919 to 1924 he was Poland's ambassador to Paris and then, for seven months, from January 19, 1924 Polish Foreign Minister. In 1922 he was a candidate in the presidential election but narrowly lost against Gabriel Narutowicz, the then already offered him the Foreign Ministry.
