Maverick (MBTA-Station)
Maverick is a named after the nearby Maverick Square subway station of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority ( MBTA ) in Boston's South Boston, Massachusetts in the United States. As easternmost station provides access to the Blue Line.
History
On December 5, 1904, the Maverick portal was built at the location of today's underground station, which allowed trams to get the tunnel to the surface from the East Boston. Only with the conversion of the track to run on power rails, the station was opened on 18 April 1924. 1952 reversed the last trams to the station, since is a pure underground operation instead.
