Max d'Ollone

Max d' Ollone ( born June 13, 1875 in Besançon, † 15 May 1959, Paris) was a French composer.

D' Ollone studied at the Conservatoire de Paris under Jules Massenet and won the 1897 Premier Grand Prix de Rome. He served as music director in Angers, as director of the Opéra- Comique, professor of chamber music at the Conservatoire de Paris and inspector for music lessons. In addition, he was also known as a conductor and musicologist.

In addition to eleven operas and a ballet composed d' Ollone some orchestral works, chamber music and songs. More recently, some of his works, some for the first time, added. The Quatuor Parisii with Patrice d' Ollone played some chamber works on ( among other things Fantaisie Orientale ), the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra under Lawrence Foster ( 2002-03 ) his major orchestral works, including Le Ménétrier for violin and orchestra.
