Max Färberböck

Max Färberböck ( born September 22, 1950 in Degerndorf am Inn, today Brannenburg ) is a German author and film director.

Life

After working for several years at theaters in Buenos Aires and in Italy, Färberböck graduated from the University of Television and Film in Munich. Subsequently, he was editor at Constantin Film, and then moved on to Peter Zadek at the Hamburg Schauspielhaus, where he worked as an assistant director and dramaturge. He subsequently worked at various German theaters he began writing and directing of television films, including the first two episodes of Bella Block. His first feature film was the melodrama Aimée and Jaguar. Färberböck film Anonyma - A Woman in Berlin after the autobiographical book A Woman in Berlin by Marta Hillers was shown in cinemas in October 2008. The main role is played by Nina Hoss.

Max Färberböck is a member of the German Film Academy, the Free Academy of the Arts in Hamburg and the German Academy of Performing Arts.
