Max Götze

Max Götze ( born October 13, 1880 in Berlin, † October 29, 1944 ) was a German cyclist.

Max Götze, member of the Berlin Society BBC Germania 1883, took part in the 1906 Summer Olympics in Athens in cycling competitions. At 1000m time trial, he retired from as well as the 333.3 m time trial, in the first round. After a fifth place in the race over 5000m, he won in tandem sprint over 2000m silver medal, together with his 18 years older brother Bruno idol. Two years later he again took part in the Olympic Games in London and won the Team Pursuit with 1980 yards together with Karl Neumer, Richard Katzer and Hermann Martens his second silver medal.
