Max Herrmann (athlete)

Max Herrmann ( born March 17, 1885 in Gdansk, † January 29, 1915 ) was a German sprinter.

At the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912 he exhibited in the 4 x 100 meters relay together with Otto Rohr, Erwin core and Richard Rau the first official world record in this discipline ( 42.3 s ). In the final, however, the German quartet was disqualified after a change of error. About 100 and 400 meters Herrmann eliminated in advance, about 200 meters he reached the semifinals.

1911 and 1913 he became German champion over 400 meters.

Max Herrmann started for the SC Charlottenburg.
