Max von Schlebrügge

Max von Schlebrügge ( born 1 February 1977 in Solna ) is a Swedish football player.

From Schlebrügge played as a child at AIK Solna. At that time he was still called Max Holmström. In March 2000, he took the surname of his grandmother, a daughter of Friedrich Karl Johannes von Schlebrügge on. She wore last in Sweden the name of the German noble family. He is the great-nephew of maternal derived from the same family U.S. actress Uma Thurman.

His first competitive match for the A team from AIK graduated from Schlebrügge on January 21, 1996 compared Alvsjö. In the same year he left his home to aground until 1998 for the football team of Florida Atlantic University. At the age of 21, he signed in 1998 a contract with the third division side IF Brommapojkarna.

2001 brought him then the Stockholm tradition club Hammarby IF in its ranks. There he plays since then alternately in the center of defense or at left-back. His greatest achievement in the club was taking part in the qualifying round of the Champions League in 2002. Due to his achievements, he was first used in November 2003 in an international match of the Swedish national football team. In January 2007, signed by Schlebrügge at RSC Anderlecht a contract until the summer of 2010. 2007 he has been with the association of Belgian football champions. From 2008 to 2012, he played at Brøndby IF and since 2012 again at Hammarby IF.
