Maxim Mikhailovich Mikhailov (Russian: Максим Михайлович Михайлов, English transcription: Maxim Mikhaylov Mikhaylovich; born March 19, 1988 in Kusmolowski, Leningrad Oblast ) is a Russian volleyball player.

Career

Mikhailov began his career at the age of eight years with Valeri Yemelyanovich Besproswannych. He then continued his training at the sports school in St. Petersburg. In 2003 he moved to Yaroslavl, where he played in the coming years for Stroitel, Neftyanik and Jaroslawich. 2006 won the diagonal attacker with the Russian Junior European Championship. On 14 June 2008, he was in a World League match his debut in the senior team. Two months later, he took with Russia at the Olympic Games in Beijing and won the bronze medal. Mikhailov moved in 2010 to the UK Zenit -Kazan. There he was in his first season of Russian masters. Furthermore Kazan reached with the diagonal attacker the final of the Champions League against Trentino Volley. With the national Mikhailov, 2011 was also successful. The Russians won the World League as well as the World Cup. At the European Championships that ended his team in fourth place, Mikhailov was awarded as the best scorer and attacker. 2012 Kazan defended the national championship successfully and also won the Champions League with a 3-2 in the final against Skra Belchatow. Then Mikhailov was with the national team in London Olympic champion.
