Maxim Zimin

Igorewitsch Maxim Zimin (Russian Максим Игоревич Зимин, Maxim Zimin also transcribed; born April 28, 1994, Barnaul ) is a Russian racing driver. In 2011 he started in the GP3 Series.

Career

Simin began his motorsport career in karting in 2001 and was active until 2009 in this sport. 2009 Simin also gave his debut in Formula racing and took for Jenzer Motorsport on a respective race weekend of the Italian Formula Renault and Formula Renault 2.0 Euro Cups in part. In 2010 he stayed with the Swiss team and joined in parallel in the Swiss Formula Renault and Formula Abarth. He finished second in both championships fifth overall. In the Swiss Formula Renault two third places were his best results and he lost the team-internal duel against zoel Amberg, who won the league title. Successful was the season for Simin in Formula Abarth, in which he already came in third place in the first race to the finish. In the rest of the season was followed by four second places as the best results. In the Formula Abarth he won the team-internal duel against Amberg.

2011 Simin went for Jenzer Motorsport in the GP3 Series at the start. While his team-mate Nico Müller won a race, remained Simin without points and finished the season off on the 27th place overall.
