Maxine Cooper

Maxine Cooper Gomberg formerly Maxine Cooper ( born May 12, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois, † April 4, 2009 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American actress.

Life and career

Maxine Cooper first visited the Bennington College in Vermont and then studied acting at the Pasadena Playhouse. In 1946 she traveled to Europe, where she performed, among others, in television productions of the BBC. After five years she returned to the United States. Made her feature film debut, she had in Robert Aldrich film noir classic Kiss Me Deadly.

Aldrich, it filled in the sequence in autumn storms and What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?.

She also appeared since the mid-1950s in several television series such as Perry Mason and The Twilight Zone as a guest star on. In 1957 she married the screenwriter and film producer Sy Gomberg and retired in the 1960s from show business back.
