Mayssa Raquel de Oliveira

Mayssa Pessoa ( born September 11, 1984 in João Pessoa ) is a Brazilian Handball.

Life

Pessoa was from 2011 to the French first division side Paris Issy under contract. In October 2012, the goalkeeper joined the Russian club HK Dynamo Volgograd, there to compensate for the injury- induced loss of stem goalkeeper Anna Sedoikina. With Volgograd in 2013 she won the championship.

Pessoa participated with the Brazilian national handball team at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. At the Olympics, she was one of 20 athletes who declared themselves to their homosexuality. 2013 she won the Pan Cup with Brazil. In the same year she succeeded in winning the World Cup.
