MBK (Scooter manufacturer)

M.B.K. Industry (abbreviated to the company and brand: MTC ) is a French manufacturer of scooters, electric mopeds and bicycles. MBK industry is a subsidiary of the motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha.

History

The former motorcycle manufacturer Motobécane was bought after his bankruptcy in 1984 by Yamaha and subsequently traded under the brand MBK.

Models

MBK offers offers scooters to 400 cc and electric mopeds and bicycles. The models of MBK and Yamaha have mostly the same technical basis, and some models are even identical. Thus, for example, corresponds to the 50 cc scooter MBK Nitro Aerox Yamaha. In addition, MTC produces the light motorcycle Yamaha YZF- R125, which is sold exclusively under the brand Yamaha.

Market

MBK sells its products mainly in France and Belgium until 2006 MTC vehicles were sold in Germany over the Yamaha dealer network.
