Geography
McFarland is located in south central Wisconsin, in the southern suburban area of the capital, Madison. The town is located on the eastern shore of Lake Waubesa and on leaving this Yahara River, a tributary of the opening into the Mississippi River in the neighboring state of Illinois Rock River. Located on the Mississippi intersection of the three states of Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois is located 154 km west-southwest.
