McHale's Navy (1997 film)

McHale's Navy is an American military comedy from 1997 in the Tom Arnold the lead role and title character Lt. Cmdr. Quinton McHale embodies. The film is based on a U.S. television series from 1962 to 1966.

Action

Lt.Cmdr. McHale is an officer in the U.S. Navy, but not exactly what you would call a flagship soldiers. Stationed on an island in the Caribbean, he has command of a wild bunch of soldiers. Home-brewed beer and other amenities that have very little to do with the Navy, are on the agenda.

The situation changes when a new commander, Capt.. Wallace B. Binghampton, comes to the island and together with Lt. Carpenter wants to do away with the wild dissolute life of the soldiers. Capt. Binghampton, however, fallen into disgrace himself because he accidentally sunk a cruise ship several years ago. Therefore, his career suffered a major kink.

Lt.Cmdr. McHale leaves the Navy when it comes to differences with the new commander. As yet the "second best" Terrorist Vladokov then starts on the island to build a terrorist camp, it is the idyll completely over. On behalf of Cobra McHale is put back into service. Together with his men, he manages to stop the terrorists Vladokov and to expel from the island. At the end of the movie the brave soldiers will be honored by Cobra. It turns out that Lt.Cmdr. McHale is the son of Admiral (Cobra ).
