By adjusting the windows to achieve different thicknesses up to 40 mm.

One differentiates hand - and electric-powered sled. There are devices in which both drive types are possible.

Off conveyors and stackers are particularly suitable for the automatic operation of a standard equipment. Automatic machines can cut not only stack, but often also put in a fan shape or round fan to represent the result visually appealing.

The rotating circular knife is dangerous. Therefore, a blade guard on the machine and compliance of gap dimensions are mandatory. On slide thumb and finger protection must be provided. For the small pieces a remnant holder is provided which prevents the fingers can get to the knife. When cleaning and sharpening the knife, special measures are required to prevent cuts in their hands.

Safety and hygiene requirements of these machines are in the European harmonized type -C standard EN 1974 " Food processing machinery - Slicing machines - Safety and hygiene requirements " regulated.
