Mechanically separated meat
Among MSM, and bone scrapings, one understands machine of bone dissolved meat. It can be used to make many products, and provides an inexpensive alternative to other meat processing dar. MSM is pasty according to the manufacture and sees minced or ground meat similar, but different composition.

In small mechanized slaughter the bones are held on the rotating meat remainders stripping brush heads made of wire or hard rubber bristles.
The meat can be separated from the bone by a high pressure water jet, as it happens especially with chicken for chicken meat in the form of chicken nuggets.
Use
MSM can be used in the manufacture of various sausages and fried, it is suitable for making broth or meat pastes. It is also used as a feed additive for animal food.
BSE
With the first reports of the disease BSE, the manufacturing process and the use of the MSM ran into criticism. By the previous grinding bones and the high pressure with which the Knochen-/Fleischmasse is forced through the cylinder, can not be excluded that nerve tissue, tendons, and bones and spinal cord parts get into the further processing. These residues are considered to be potential carriers of prions and thus as a possible cause of the BSE disease in animals and Creutzfeldt -Jakob disease in humans.
The production and processing of MSM of cattle is therefore prohibited since October 1, 2000; Meat of other animals must be marked on its packaging.
