Mecseknádasd

Mecseknádasd ( Nadasch German, Croatian Nados ) is a town with about 1,500 inhabitants ( as of 2011) in Baranya county in southern Hungary. It lies at the foot of the eastern Mecsek Mountains on the main road 6

The St. Stephen's chapel from the 14th century cemetery chapel today. The Bishop's Castle and the adjacent granaries were built in Baroque style around 1770. The local museum of the German minority with an exhibition of the former everyday life of the German population of the village and the surrounding area was opened in 1977. A short walk leads to the ruins of Réka castle where the Holy Margaret, Queen of Scotland, was born.
