Med Hondo

Med Hondo ( born May 4, 1936 in Atar, Mauritania; actually Abib Mohamed Medoun Hondo ) is a Mauritanian film director and actor who is best known in France.

Life and work

Hondo came with 25 years to France, where he worked first as a dish washer, Docker and helpers on various farms when he founded a theater company in Paris.
