Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis

The Gloria Artis Medal for Cultural Merit (Polish: Medal Zasłużony Kulturze Gloria Artis ) is the highest Polish award for Earned the Polish culture. The medal is awarded by the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage preservation. It is distinguished from individuals or institutions for contributions to the arts, business, culture, or the protection of the cultural and national heritage. Basis for the award is the law of 25 October 1991 on the organization and implementation of cultural activities of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. The award was first awarded on 17 June 2005.

The medal is awarded in three versions Gold, Silver and Bronze ( on a brass base ). It is worn on the ribbon around the neck. The Minister she gives on its own initiative or at the request of other ministers or certain members of parliamentary bodies or associations of civil society organizations.

On the front side of the coin, a crowned eagle is depicted on the back of a woman with a laurel wreath, which bears the inscription " Gloria Artis " the face.
