Medal of Merit (Czech Republic)

The Medal of Merit ( Czech: MEDAL za zásluhy ) of the Czech Republic was donated by law 404/90 on 2 October 1990 by the Czech parliament in three stages. They are awarded to individuals who have created services to the Republic in the areas of business, science, technology, culture, arts, sports, education, defense and national security. The Medal of Merit is thereby presented to the Beliehenen by the President or his authorized representative in a festive act together with certificate.

Levels of classification

  • I. Level (Silver Plated )
  • Stage II in Silver
  • III. Stage in bronze.

Stylish look and manner

The bronze, silver and silver-gilt medal with a diameter of 33 mm shows on their obverse right side stylize linden leaves and the letters CZ. To the left is the inscription: to read ZA ZÁSLUHY ( For merits ). In contrast, the reverse the large national emblem of the Czech Republic and including embarked ceremony digit. It is supported medal at the 38 mm wide tape in original size only on festive occasions at the upper left chest. The ribbon is golden yellow and shows at the Bronze level, centrally, a perpendicular woven purple markings. At the stage there are two silver stripes and the gold level then three.   • At the Bronze Level: 18 mm (gold): 2 mm ( purple): 18 mm (gold)
  • At the Silver Level: 16 mm (gold): 2 mm ( purple): 2 mm (gold): 2 mm ( purple): 16 mm (gold)
  • At the Gold Level: 14 mm (gold): 2 mm ( purple): 2 mm (gold): 2 mm ( purple): 2 mm (gold): 2 mm ( purple): 14 mm (gold)

For civilian clothing a 38 x 10 mm clasp is worn on the lapel, which has the same texture.
