Medal "Partisan of the Patriotic War"

The Medal " Partisan of the Patriotic War " (Russian Медаль " Партизану Отечественной войны ") was a state military award of the USSR, which was introduced on February 2, 1943 in two classes. The first class in silver was 56 883 times and the Second Class in brass awarded 70 992 times.

Award conditions

The medal was awarded to all Soviet partisans in World War II, and also to persons of the management cadre of partisan detachments and other organizers of the partisan movement. Requirement was the use as a partisan in the enemy's rear and courage, boldness and steadfastness in carrying out the tasks. The first class came to the ceremony, when the Entrusted outstanding contributions to the organization of the partisan movement had acquired, as well as for bravery, heroism and outstanding achievements in the partisan struggle. The second class of the medal was awarded as a personal distinction in active combat.

Stylish look and manner

The medal is silver plated with 32 mm diameter in the First Class and manufactured in the II class of goldschimmerndem brass. The obverse shows two medals on the inner ring with 24 mm diameter, the left -looking heads of Lenin (rear) and Stalin (front). In order to entwines a fluttering banner that is placed on its lower side in wrinkles and bears the letters CCCP. The letters chain is interrupted by CC by a red star. The inscription reads: Партизану Отечественной войны ( The Partisan of the Patriotic War ). The reverse of the coin shows under the symbol of the hammer and sickle, the three-line inscription: За нашу / советскую / родину ( For our Soviet Motherland ).
