Medar Shtylla

Medar Shtylla ( born February 28, 1907 in Korçë, † 20 December 1963 in Tirana) was an Albanian politician of the partia e puNES e Shqipërisë ( PPSh ).

Life

He belonged to the existing 118 people from the Anti-Fascist Council of National Liberation, who was elected in May 1944 as a transitional Parliament by the Congress of Përmet and helped the Communists to take power. In 1945 he became a member of the Constituent Assembly ( Asamblea Kushtetuese ). On 15 March 1945 he was Minister of Economic Affairs in the government of Prime Minister Enver Hoxha.

In 1950 he was first elected as a deputy of the National Assembly ( Kuvendi Popullor ) and belonged to this as the representative for the district of Durres from the second to the end of the fifth legislature in 1966.

On July 24, 1953 Prime Minister Enver Hoxha appointed him as Minister of Public Health in the Cabinet. He held this post also under his successor Mehmet Shehu made ​​until 24 June 1956.

Shtylla was finally from June 1958 until his death on December 20, 1963 President of the People's Assembly.
