Meditrinalia

The Meditrinalia were an ancient Roman wine festival, held each October 11. On this day the new cider was first tasted after a libation had been donated earlier. Here, the new juice is mixed with eingekochtem vorjährigem. The name of the festival was of mederi ( " heal " ) is derived, as you said so mixed new wine attributed to particularly health-promoting effect and in the connection of victims and aid in old and hoped for a defense against new diseases.

While it was at the beginning of the harvest the Liber donated a libation, in the Fasti Amiternini and the Fasti fratrum Arvalium as feriae Iovi ( " Feast Day of Jupiter " ) is October 11 but have been presented, it is therefore considered that the Meditrinalia as the other two wine festivals which are Vinalia Priora and the Vinalia Rustica, were dedicated to Jupiter.
