Mediumwave transmitter Bremen

The transmitter Bremen Oberneuland was a 1998 by Radio Bremen for the dissemination of its first program on the medium wave frequency 936 kHz built transmitter, which replaced the hitherto used ( degraded ) system on the Leher field with its three masts ( the spread of FM broadcast done since then by the telecommunications tower Bremen Deutsche Telekom AG).

The transmitter Bremen Oberneuland used as a transmitting antenna a bent cage antenna with omnidirectional characteristic, which was attached to a 45 meter high guyed, grounded steel lattice mast. This transmitting antenna had a medium wave transmitting antennas for extremely high antenna gain of 4.5 dB, which caused the 50 kilowatts installed there transmitter sent with an ERP of 140 kW.

The transmission mode was set initially on a trial basis on 10 March 2010. As complained only about 200 listeners after four weeks, Radio Bremen decided the definitive cessation of the sender and no longer took him into service. The distribution of the programs offered on the Internet is considered in the transmitter as a significant substitute for the far-reaching medium wave.

On 8 January 2014, the radio mast was turned over by the caps of the anchoring ropes. In order to prevent transmission facilities owned by Radio Bremen more.
