Medulli

The Meduller (Latin Medulli ) were a Celtic tribe in the Alps. Your name should be derived from medu ( " Met"). Their settlement area was in Maurienne between Tarentaise ( in Savoy) and the Aosta Valley. They were known for metal processing.

Called them together with five other tribes in Claudius Ptolemy. The Trophy of Augustus at La Turbie today (built 7/6 BC) calls the Meduller in the list of 16/15 BC defeated in the Augustan campaigns Alps Alpine tribes.
