Megareus of Thebes

Megareus (Greek Μεγαρεύς ) is a figure from Greek mythology.

He was the son of Creon and Eurydice and one of the defenders of the city of Aeschylus Seven against Thebes. Megareus killed himself because of a forecast of the seer Tiresias, who said that the suicide of a Theban Thebes would save themselves.
