Megha Mittal

Megha Mittal ( born November 20, 1976 in Calcutta, India) is the owner and chairman of the board of German luxury fashion brand Escada in Aschheim near Munich.

Megha Mittal grew up to study the daughter of a Garnfabrikanten in India. She was at the Wharton School of Business and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science (BS ) in Economics with a concentration in Finance and Strategic Management. She subsequently joined the investment bank Goldman Sachs as an investment analyst in the research department. In 2003 she received a diploma in interior architecture design at the Inchbald School of Design.

In November 2009, it acquired Escada, which had filed for bankruptcy in August of the same year. She is described as smart and assertive.

Megha is married since 1998 with Aditya Mittal, CFO ( Chief Financial Officer ) of ArcelorMittal. They met while studying in the United States. They live in London and have two young daughters.
