Mehamn

Mehamn ( Sami Donjevuotna, kvenisch: Meehamina ) is a city in northern Norway on the coast of the Barents Sea with about 690 inhabitants. The village belongs to the municipality Gamvik in Finnmark County.

Economy

The inhabitants Mehamns live mainly on fishing and fish processing industry.

Traffic

Since then Gamvik is no longer up and running, Mehamn is the northernmost point of the traditional postal shipping line Hurtigruten.

The Mehamn airport is located about one kilometer southwest of the village.
