Meia Ponte Microregion

The micro-region Meia Ponte is a by the IBGE (Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística ) for statistical purposes specified region in the Brazilian state of Goiás. It belongs to mesoregion southern Goiás and includes 21 municipalities.

The region is named after the Rio Meia Ponte, which flows through the region from north to south and empties as a right tributary to the Rio Paranaíba.

  • In the north of Goiânia ( Goiás Central )
  • In the northeast of Pires do Rio (southern Goiás)
  • On the southeast by Catalão (South Goiás)
  • In the south of Uberlândia and Ituiutaba (both Triângulo Mineiro e Alto Paranaíba, MG)
  • In the southwest of Quirinópolis and Sudoeste de Goiás (both of Southwest de Goiás)
  • In the northwest of Vale do Rio dos Bois (South Goiás)
