Mejicanos is a city of 140 751 (2007) residents in the Central American country of El Salvador.

The city belongs to the metropolitan area of ​​the state capital and is located in the east of the department of El Salvador on an area of ​​21.12 km ² and an average elevation of about 600 meters. The population according to it is the fifth largest city in the country. The city is conveniently located and well connected to other cities of the country like Cuscatancingo, Mariona, San Ramon and the capital San Salvador. In the north Mejicanos borders Ayutuxtepeque and Apopa, to the east of Ciudad Delgado and Cuscatancingo and the south and west of San Salvador. It is divided into four cantones and 36 Caseríos and is drained by the río San Antonio. There is a volcano called Picacho.
