Mel Harris
Mel Harris ( born July 12, 1956 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania as Mary Ellen Harris ) is an American actress.
Life and achievements
Harris graduated in 1974, the New Brunswick High School. After her debut in an episode of a TV series she starred in the thriller Wanted - Dead or Alive (1987 ) alongside Rutger Hauer. In the years 1987 to 1991, she starred in the television series The Best Years of the main role of Hope Murdoch Steadman, for this role, she was nominated for the 1990 Golden Globe. In the comedy thriller My partner with the cold muzzle (1989 ) she played the role of Tracy, the girlfriend of Mike Dooley, James Belushi played.
In the television film Unfulfilled Love ( 1989) Harris played alongside John Ritter in one of the lead roles. In the thriller Raising Cain ( 1992) by Brian De Palma, she performed alongside John Lithgow and Lolita Davidovich. In the film drama Wind Dancer (1993) and the thriller Distant Cousins (1993 ), she took over the lead role in each case. From 1996 to 1998 she played the lead role in the television series Something So Right. She also played the lead role in the thriller Twilight - Death does not wait (2002), next to her played Daniel Baldwin.
The magazine Harper 's Bazaar in 1989, it counted amongst the most beautiful women of America ( America's 10 Most Beautiful Women ).
Harris married five times, most recently in 2001, Michael Toomey. She has two children from previous marriages.
