Melanie Booth

Melanie Booth ( born August 24, 1984 in Burlington, Ontario, Canada) is a former Canadian soccer player. The defender played for Sky Blue FC and the Canadian national soccer team.

Career

Booth was on 1 March 2002 at the Algarve Cup against Scotland at the age of seventeen, her debut in the Canadian national team. Canada won 3-0.

She took with Canada at the Olympic Summer Games 2012 in London, where she won the bronze medal with her team.

In the 2013 season she played in the newly established National Women 's Soccer League, the highest American professional league in women's football, for Sky Blue FC. In November 2013 she announced her retirement from professional sport.
