Gray chin - Pfriemschnabel ( Toxorhamphus poliopterus )

The berry picker ( Melanocharitidae ) constitute a family of passerine birds that live exclusively in the forests of New Guinea. The medium sized birds feed on fruit, insects and other invertebrates. You see them mostly alone or in pairs. In a bowl-shaped nest they lay 1-2 eggs.
