Memel Agricultural Party

The Memelländische Agricultural Party ( MLWP ) was the largest party in the German majority population in the Klaipėda Region, based in Heydekrug. She was from 1925 until her ban 1934.

The party was originally a peasant party, represented the bourgeois positions the center. As of 1933, the party took increasingly extreme right-wing positions that were marked by the Nazi party in the kingdom.

It was chaired from 1925 to 1927 Heinrich Conrad ( 1888-1941 ) and from 1927 to 1934 James Charles Gubba ( 1869-1945 )

In May 1926, the three " owners " August Milbrecht - Robkojen, Circle Pogegen, Schuischel - Uszaneiten, district Memel, and washing gravel Blausden, Circle Heydekrug elected as representatives of the agricultural party as MPs in the Lithuanian Seimas in Kovno were.

In the elections for the Seimelis MLWP was the strongest party in each case.
