Memel People's Party

The Memelländische People's Party ( MVP) was a party of the German majority population in the Klaipeda region. It consisted 1925-1935 and went on in the Memel unit list.

The party was of bourgeois positions of the center and was significantly influenced by the interests of trade and industry. She stood near the DVP.

Chairman were Joseph Kraus (1877-1939), Wilhelm Brindlinger (1890-1967) and Richard Meyer ( 1885-1970 ).

With Augusta Baldzius presented the MVP from 12 January to November 8, 1926, a member of the Land Board.

In May 1926 Robert Grabow and the teacher Max Jagstaidt were chosen as MVP representatives to deputies in the Lithuanian Seimas in Kovno.

In the elections for Seimelis the MVP was each second strongest German party.
